Getting a large library of music to browse correctly in a musicplayer can seem nearly impossible: many music files will contain incomplete or inconsistent metadata. Albums with guest artists, multi-disk albums, different masters of the same album, will all cause music players to not index your music properly. Add to that the hundreds of genre variations and different spellings, capitalization, and a dozen of other common issues will make your beloved music library not browse or search properly, unless you use an expensive subscription service like Roon. Luthier finds and fixes problems in your music files' metadata and prepares your collection for browsing perfectly in any music player, software or hardware.

A guide to bitperfect multi-room streaming built entirely from free and open-source software. Lyrion drives the hi-fi players in each room, Navidrome brings the same library to your phone and desktop, and Squeezelite turns a small computer and a DAC into a room player.

It covers preparing the library, serving the music, connecting the rooms and checking that the output really is bitperfect.
